In glorious autumn sunshine, The South Australian Highland Breeders Group held its Feature Breed Show, on Saturday, March 18th at Mt Pleasant.
The event saw one of the states largest gathering of Highland Cattle and their exhibitors for 2006.
Before a large crowd of interested public, the breeders presented animals before judge Richard Arnold (Paltara South Devons).
Highland cattle are increasing in popularity throughout the Adelaide Hills and Barossa Districts as word of their docile nature, ease of handling, minimal health issues and low maintenance spreads.
Of course their striking features, and the magnificent beef produced might also be contributing to this.
