The Woodside Warriors Soccer Club will hold its 2009 Registration Day on Sunday, February 8th, with committee members taking registrations from 9am to 11am at the Woodside Recreation Ground.
The Warriors Club will enter its fifth year on a high, having celebrated a successful 2008 season, as well as securing new major sponsors – GOLDTEC CONTROL SYSTEMS and TRISTAR ELECTRICAL.
The two major sponsors will appear on the Warriors new club shirt, which will be worn by members from 2009 through to 2011.
The young club has had a steady increase in member numbers since its inaugural 2005 season. Soccer has become popular with boys and girls alike, with the Socceroos 2006 World Cup Campaign and the more recent success of Adelaide United adding to the sports popularity. Two Adelaide Hills businesses have joined forces to ensure that one local tourist attraction, Platform 1 Heritage Farm Railway, will continue running for years to come.
A customer noticed the man also had goats and inquired to purchase some milk.
This gave the man an idea, upon which he built an empire.

The words, “We get knocked down, but we get up again, you ain’t ever gonna keep me down,” to Chumbawamba’s song, Tubthumping, pumped rhythmically from speakers throughout the Stirling Community Theatre. Twenty-three children were on stage, in costume and 7 of them were all red, dancing to this catchy tune. The audience were tapping their feet and humming along to the empowering lyrics. It was Saturday, November the 29th and the Hills Youth Theatre, junior classes, were performing their annual play with talent, poise and a certain unexpected concentration level for 6-10 year olds. Top of the Torrens Gallery was abuzz for the opening of the Birdwood High School Exhibition on Friday, 14th November, which was opened by local artist Bill Cook, who was an art teacher for 40 years.
He complimented the students and the teachers for the high standard of work, which will be moderated for year 12 assessment at the Gallery. It was Friday the 10th of October and the weekend weather forecast was great. There was a certain excitement about the town of Lobethal. The electric atmosphere felt like Christmas Eve and you could tell something special was coming. The streets vibrated with the rumble of engines in various stages of preparation. Every now and then, one of those beautiful machines would power by, on a test run of the 1938 Lobethal Grand Prix track, which would soon come alive once again.
