It was a very happy atmosphere at Top of the Torrens Gallery in Birdwood on Sunday, December 10th, when members got together for a Christmas drink and to farewell Jules Pilgrim, who has served on the committee for several years and has displayed so many exciting pieces in that time.
She is moving to Swan Hill to take up a position as librarian at McKillop College.
The Gumeracha Primary School has been awarded Equal Best Environmental School at this years KESAB Tidy Towns and Environmental Schools Awards Ceremony held at AAMI Stadium on December 1st.
Along with Woodside Primary and Pt Vincent Primary, Gumeracha was chosen from 224 other competing schools from across the state.
The award reflects the commitment by students, staff and parents to positive action within the community as well as including environmental education within its curriculum and day to day activities at the school. Continue reading Best Environmental School→

The Lobethal Bakery is proud to annouce that they are now selling their own icecream at their Woodside store, made locally at their Lobethal premises.
“We try and make our icecream from local products wherever we can,’ said Albert Trinkle, “using such products as local milk and fruit.â€

The installation of 4 electrical power and public address system outlets in Gumeracha Federation Park is the latest initiative of the Gumeracha Community Association Inc.
