Happy Retirement

Happy RetirementBy Kendrea Rhodes

Nestled deep in a lush valley is a village within a village: a happy place, neat, tidy and friendly. This peaceful hamlet is the Valley of Praise Retirement Village in Lobethal.

Currently, there are fifty-five houses built on the five acre village, with plans for seven more three bedroom homes which will be finished by the end of 2012. The houses are spacious, modern and well equipped, with two and three bedrooms. All white goods are included and a small outside area, that you may sculpt into the garden of your own choosing – or not. Continue reading Happy Retirement

With almost 2000 visitors, which is more than double the amount expected, it’s no wonder everything sold so quickly. Continue reading Mount Pleasant Farmers Market

Chiropractic in Lobethal

Chiropractic in LobethalBy Kendrea Rhodes

Dr. Donna Palmer truly has the health of children and families on her mind – which is rather like stating the obvious – what with four children of her own, sixteen years as a chiropractor and twenty-five years of having treatments herself. Donna’s seen miracles occur through chiropractic care from acute and chronic pain relief to assisting the feeding of newborn babies. From helping toddlers to walk, babies to crawl and relieving symptoms in people who’ve accepted pain as part of their lives. She said of chiropractors that, “we don’t heal the body, the body heals itself – we take the pressure off the nervous system through spinal adjustments to allow this to happen”. The funds from this donation were used to purchase several comfortable chairs for use in resident’s rooms. The hospital remains grateful for the continued community support it receives.
