Growing knowledge at the Mt Pleasant Community Garden

Each Wednesday morning, a group of volunteers gather in Mount Pleasant to help grow a fantastic community project, increase knowledge and access to healthy fresh fruit and vegetables.

We invite you to join local plant and fungi expert, herbologist, and botanist, Bev Lane, in our community garden, Wednesdays from 9:45am, for a morning of gardening adventures and learning. A former lecturer in medical botany, Bev has a lifetime of experience growing food plants, uses for weeds, native foods and herbology. More Awards for Stirling Players

The Stirling Players have further cemented their reputation for fine comedy by winning two Adelaide Theatre Guide Curtain Call Awards for 2013.

At the awards ceremony, their March production of God of Carnage, by Yasmina Reza, won Best Comedy and Best Comedy Ensemble in the Amateur Theatre categories.

The Ensemble award recognises the outstanding level of performance by every member of the cast.

As a measure of the standard of drama at the Stirling Theatre the cast of the companyís other production, Mr†Bailey’s Minder†was also nominated for this award. Continue reading More Awards for Stirling Players
