Do you have time free to volunteer? Would you like to promote healthy eating in your community? Then the Hills Foodies Volunteer program is for you!
Adelaide Hills Community Health Service Dietitians are currently recruiting potential Hills Foodies Volunteers for our free training program in August. After training foodies are involved in many different activities promoting healthy eating within their community. Eg. cooking groups, making healthy recipe books, working with local schools and kindergartens, and they are involved in our community garden.
Hills Foodies increase the community’s access to nutrition information, and healthy eating programs. There are currently 8 foodies involved in healthy eating programs in the Adelaide Hills area, 4 of whom live and work in the Northern Adelaide Hills.
We are running an Information session about the Hills Foodies Program at the Torrens Valley Community Centre on Thursday the 2nd August at 10.00am until 11.30.
There are also other information sessions being run in other locations around the hills if this day doesn’t suit you. Just contact us to find out more. To find out more please ring Cassandra Dietitian at Adelaide Hills Community Health Service on (08) 8393 1823.
