The installation of 4 electrical power and public address system outlets in Gumeracha Federation Park is the latest initiative of the Gumeracha Community Association Inc.
This initiative was supported by a Regional Partnerships Grant from the Federal Department of Transport and Regional Affairs, the Gumeracha Primary School, the Gumeracha Town Hall Committee, John O’Dea Electrical, Kenton Communications and Trenching Contractor – Colin Foster.
Alexander Downer, Federal Member for Mayo, launched the project at the Gumeracha Primary School’s Annual Spring Festival on Sunday, November 5th – the first major event to use the new electrical facilities, designed to ensure safety and flexibility for organisers and participants at such events.
This has been another example of the Gumeracha community working collaboratively to improve the facilities of the township.
